Please read the following information carefully before choosing a Speaker Selector
SPEAKER SELECTORS - OVERVIEW
The Concept:
One amplifier powers several pairs of speakers in different
rooms. All rooms have independent volume control.
The Problem:
Amplifiers are designed to power a maximum of two pairs of
speakers; they will overheat and distort (even if played at
a soft volume) when powering more than two pairs connected
in parallel.
The Solution:
Design the system to incorporate devices that electronically
transform a system with multiple speakers into the electric
equivalent of two pairs of speakers.
PurePath Automatic Bypass
An Audioplex exclusive feature of the AT-Series and PT-Series. It connects
the amplifier to a single pair of speakers for the purest, most direct path
with no loss and no compromise.
Amplifier Protection Options:
1 - OptiMatch Volume Controls protect an amplifier without any other
accessories or components. All speaker wires may be parallel connected
directly to the amplfier.
2 - Resistive Protection protects an amplifier from a central location. All
speaker wires are connected in parallel to the speaker selector/distribution
hub.
3 - Large Autoformers protect an amplifier from a central location. All
speaker wires are connected in parallel to the speaker selector/distribution
hub.
