VOLUME CONTROLS - SYSTEM DESIGN AND ORDERING
1 - Choosing Decora or Standard Style Plates for Volume Control
Decora style plates enable the installer to match in-wall gear with Decora plates already existing in a home. Being able to order Decora plates also allows grouping of products in multi-gang configurations.
Standard style plates also enable the installer to match existing wall plates and group multiple products in a space saving manner.
2 - When Ordering Volume Controls you must specify the color
Order Volume Controls with the correct color:
- White
- Almond
- Ivory
- Gray
- Brown
- Black
3 - Choose whether or not you want an IR Target or IR Package (Optional)
For an additional charge, you can add an IR Target to any volume control. Additionally, you can add the complete IR Package which includes (1) IR Bug, an IR-TB, (3) Prisms and a 12v PS.
Note: If buying more than one volume control with optional IR Target, you only need one complete IR Package, so add the IR Package to one volume control, then add the Target only to the remaining volume controls.
4 - Choosing PurePath (no protection) or OptiMatchProtection
PurePath volume controls require that you use a speaker selector or connection hub with amplifier protection
Audioplex's unique PurePath design makes individual room volume control feasible for high-performance in-wall and box speakers. Audioplex PurePath volume controls can be set to a special step, the PurePath Step. This volume control position guarantees that the attenuator is completely bypassed in parallel, delivering all of the available amplifier power via direct connection with the speaker...for ultimate in audio fidelity. You can match PurePath volume controls to any speaker with confidence.
Because Purepath volume controls are solely used for adjustment, you gain far more flexibility to select exactly what volume level you want to listen to. Additionally, PurePath controls offer the Ultimate Off step. When you turn Audioplex volume controls to the lowest step, no sound escapes from your speakers. Unlike some others, Audioplex believes off is off.
OptiMatch volume controls provide all the amplifier protection you need. Specify a speaker selector or connection hub without protection
Audioplex's unique OptiMatch design includes built-in amplifier protection, enabling your stereo receiver or amplifier to safely connect up to eight pairs of speakers without the additional accessories or devices. Two, four or even eight pairs of speakers can be safely connected to anystereo capable of playing one standard (8 ohm) pair of speakers by installing all OptiMatch volume controls and adjusting the matching factor on each one after installation.
Audioplex OptiMatch controls enable you to easily adjust the impedance without removing the volume control from the wall, making professional installation faster and far less prone to error.
